The Questions

What was hidden?
Two of Wands

A choice that has serious consequences. Austin believes the fallout is major. Faced with a difficult choice, Austin later regrets the choice she made. Believes she acted in self interest/self preservation.

How was it discovered?

A confession. Austin, in a moment of weakness (or a moment of strength), puts her faith in someone and confesses. It isn’t easy revealing your deepest, darkest secrets to someone.

Why was it hidden in the first place?
9 of Swords

Guilt. Austin feels bad about this choice and what occurred because of it. Blames herself for the consequences of the choice she made. These demons haunt her.

What challenges does this discovery present?
7 of Wands

A similar choice lies before Austin. Will the choice she makes be in line with her core values? Is she going to stand up for what she believes is right? Also, will the people who are following her lose faith in her when her previous choice comes to light? The challenges are both internal and external in this scenario.

How is this valuable in the present?

This choice shifts the balance. Austin’s choice will either balance or tip the scale. Personal gain or personal growth. Personal benefit or doing what is right. Does she learn from the lesson and work toward balancing that scale? Or does she continue the pattern and further unbalance the scales?
